Chocolate and sugar? ... a simple way, with a control group not given too much sugar, then make another group to all children the same exact amount of candy. Then another group with more sugar. the amount of sugar is the independent variable. Then have the opportunity to test their behavior. This is the dependent variable ... its pretty intuitive is obliged to keep all other variables, such as the control group .. (eg age, is time an issue of parental consent Yada Yada Yada)
So you have a control group who do not eat chocolate, a second group, eats the chocolate and appreciated by the parents. The third group of eating chocolate, but her parents have told her wrong. The fourth group ate chocolate were wrong and the parents have told their roots. and the fifth group eats chocolate and his false parents are told, is wrong.
